This residential energy storage project delivers power solutions for local users in Somalia, covering dual electricity demands for daily household use and small self-operated businesses. Hindered by underdeveloped power infrastructure, local power supply in Somalia relies heavily on diesel generation, featuring poor reliability and high tariff levels. Users have long suffered from frequent outages, soaring energy costs, and equipment damage caused by voltage fluctuations. The project adopts a residential energy storage system equipped with a 6kW hybrid inverter and 16kWh Vestwoods LFP battery, supporting dual access of grid power and photovoltaics with integrated functions of off-grid power supply, seamless mode switching, voltage-stabilized output and intelligent load management. Upon deployment, the solution significantly improves power reliability, ensures sustained stable power supply and avoids losses induced by outages in both daily life and business operation. It replaces diesel-based backup power to cut fuel expenses and is compatible with future PV expansion to realize self-generation for self-use, further reducing long-term energy costs. The voltage-stabilized output protects electrical appliances and extends their service life, while the zero-noise and zero-emission performance makes the system highly adaptable to residential and small retail scenarios.
